Location Database
The location database helps you to handle geographical data. You can use the stored data in your charts or can save your own location data.Description
There are several ways to open the location dialog.- Click the corresponding icon in the tool bar (world icon).
- Choose the menu command Extras->Location Database.
- Click the button Search Location in the birth data dialog (location of a horoscope).
- Click the button Search Location in the configuration dialog (button default location).
Filter Part
The filter part can be used to apply a filter to the database.You can enter a match condition and type Enter or click the Apply button to apply the filter. The filter is case insensitive.
The country choice box can be used to show only entries for a specific country.
The button Reset Filter resets the filter, so all entries for the selected country will be shown.
The country section on the right side gives you the opportunity to add or delete your favorite countries to the country list.
Location List
The location list shows an overview of all matching locations for a given filter. The maximum number of entries is 100.A mouse click on the entry will select it and show it in the bottom part of the dialog.
The label on the bottom of the location list shows you the number of matching entries.
Entry Part
The left part shows the data of the selected entry.The buttons on the right part can be used to edit entries.
- A dialog will be popped up if you click the New button. You can enter the data in this dialog.
- The same dialog will be popped up if you click the Edit button. You can edit the data in this dialog. This button is only activated if an entry is selected.
- The selected entry will be deleted if you click the Delete button.
Important
Be careful with your manually entered data. Make a backup from time to time. Remember that deinstallation or new installation of the software can delete or overwrite your data!
