Presentation of Signs and Planets
These options affect text windows, graphical charts and printouts.
- Display of planets: planets can be displayed as graphical symbols of plain text. Symbols require font installation of
the Maitreya symbol font (automatic installation on Windows platforms, manual installation on Linux/UNIX required)
- Planetary names: planets can be shown in their western names (e.g. Mars) or Vedic names (e.g. Kuja).
- Format of positions: this option affects the display of positions. Western mode looks like "10:12:45 Gemini", Vedic
mode looks like "02:10:12:45"
- Display of signs: zodiacal signs can be displayed as graphical symbols of plain text. Symbols require font installation of
the symbol font (MaitreyaSymbols.ttf)
- Sign names: signs can be shown in their western names (e.g. Aries) or Vedic names (e.g. Mesha).
This option only makes sense if signs names are displayed in plain text mode.
